This is a page dedicated to our thoughts on gigs if you wanna hear them!!!
The Old Mill, Friday 11th Sept
Well, it was short notice that we got to do this gig and BLOODY HELL, I'm really glad we did!!!!
From the off there was a good feeling in the air and I was in the zone too - you could tell that everyone was just there to have a good time and Dancing in the first set - Awesome!!
We shook the set up a bit to keep it fresh and think we played really well! There were a few fluffs - i.e. I cant BELIEVE I forgot the words to Thorn in my side!!!! How long have I been singing that?!!!!!!! Dont think anyone noticed though! Brendan's new baby (his guitar) came out to play for a bit and sounded LOVELY!!
I actually can't believe nobody fell over on the dancefloor though - so many spillages (the sign of a good time)!! - well done people!!!
The crowd were AWESOME - really made us feel at home!!
Love the place as usual - favourite songs for me - Time is Running Out, Use Somebody, Pretender - the whole caboodal really - LOVED IT!!!!!
Can't wait to come back

The Lord Nelson, Hythe - Friday 21st August
Well, typically the day started with the usual unslaught of rain - it had been glorious all week until today - gig days Always have rain!! However, the night turned out nice in the end (few!)
I was pleasantly surprised with the Nelson. Being our local, I was a bit nervous about playing there but everyone was really nice and really friendly! There was Cider Festival going on so it was Packed!!
I think we kicked out a pretty strong set, my favourites being Molly's Chamber, You shook me all night long, When you were young, Design for Life and, of course, my VERY VERY favourite - yes, you've guessed it, Pretender - AWESOME SONG!!!
We all surprisingly played really well considering we have not had a band practise in Months, but I guess you never forget a good song!!!
Funniest moment - Brendan forgetting to tune his guitar up for Use Somebody - CLASSIC MOMENT - almost as funny as me nearly falling over on stage at Late n Live!! - well done Brendan!!!!
This gig nearly didnt happen due to various ailments, i.e. bad backs, a nearly broken foot etc. etc. so thanks to the band for helping eachother out - I think it was worth it!!
Surprisingly good venue, great acoustics and hopefully we will be back there soon!

The Firehouse, Southampton, Saturday 11th July
Well, it's 1.30 a.m. and we've just played a KICK ASS set at The Firehouse! Initially I was pretty petrified about playing this place - the name preceded it and I just didnt think we were heavy enough to play there, but I am SO made up at how WKD the place and the people are! I cant remember the last gig we played where EVERY song was greeted so warmly!!
We pulled a few oldies out of the hat tonight and I think we played most of them quite well (surprisingly!!) It was SO good to be able to play our old HEAVY stuff - I've missed them SO MUCH!!
Favourite songs?! - Screamager, Wolfmother, Pretender, Time is Running out, Design for Life, Basket Case - I can't think of one particular song!
It's such a shame that there are not more places like this - purely a Rock Club where everyone has the same thing in mind - to listen to good music and to listen to it LOUD!!!!!!
And before I sign out, I would just like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENDAN!!!!! Hope we started it off with a bang!!
Can't WAIT to see The Firehouse again...

Lymington Festival - Saturday 4th July
Well, after waking up that morning to rain, we were pleased that the sun came out and it turned into a glorious day!! Our set went down well I think and there were a few bodies there enjoying the music and the sunshine! Thanks to all my family who came down and also some familiar faces too!
It was a bit scary playing with someone else's instruments and well done to the lads, especially Rob, our drummer, using someone else's kit, especially when I threw Basket Case into the set - sorry Rob!!
I think after an afternoon of blues, we may have woken a few ears up, but that's what we were there for!! Favourite song - When you were young - couldnt do Pretender - bit heavy for a Saturday afternoon!!
We hope that next year the Lymington Festival will grow and become more recognised because it's about time they had something like that - well done to the organisers - we had a great day!!
Next stop - The Firehouse - watch this space!!!

Old Mill - Friday 5th June 09
I have to say I was having a HOWLER at the beginning of the evening - dont know why, I just couldnt find my voice (and that's not normally a problem!!) It took at least 3 or 4 songs until I managed to get into the "zone"! I apologise to everyone who was there and especially the band!!!!
However, after the bum start from moi,I started to get my mojo back at Killers - When you were young - THANK GOD!!
The pub filled up nicely with the usual friendly atmosphere we normally expect! I love it at the Mill as the people who are there really know their music! They are also not scared to dance which I LOVE!!
We were trying out a few new songs which we were a bit nervous about but they were all received really well (few)!!
All in all, it was a WKD night -thanks to everyone who turned up, you guys were a really great crowd and respect for knowing the music!!
The Highlight of my night, and this will probably get boring as these entries go on (as I love it EVERY time I sing it) was Pretender - my favourite song of the set - LOVE IT!!!!
See you next time!
